Working toward a higher purpose

The Talis Difference

Talis Clinical was formed to meet the higher purpose of supporting safe patient care, while positively impacting clinicians and providers. Our story begins with an initiative started over 15 years ago to build a perioperative documentation system to support anesthesia care. This extensive development moved from documenting complex anesthesia workflows to providing guidance that could expose opportunities to support improved patient care in real-time at the point of care.

Our Leadership team

Give us a call today and let's talk about how we can help.

Gary Colister

President

Gary Colister is our President and is one of the two primary founders of Talis Clinical.

Day to day, Gary drives the team toward delivering on the Talis commitment to support improved outcomes for the patients, caregivers and clients we support. He provides the top-level strategies, defines the key problems we solve and is focused on delivering technology that support clinicians, improves engagement and is accountable for delivering positive returns.

Gary is a native of Northeastern Ohio, a graduate of Kent State University. He has nearly 30-years in key leadership positions within healthcare technology firms. He is a proud husband and father of two children.

Victor Lee

Victor Lee

VP, ENGINEERING

Victor Lee is our VP of Engineering who leads development and the deployment of the solutions provided by Talis to streamline workflow and improve patient safety. He is one of our original platform inventors who influences the direction of the technology, product and operational tactics of the engineering team.

Vic is passionate about using technology to help drive patients to better outcomes. He has performed in many different capacities as a Health IT professional for 15 years.

He is one of the original founders of Talis, a native of Northeastern Ohio and a graduate in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. Vic and his wife are devoted to their two young daughters.

William Murphy

Vice President Regulatory & Quality

William Murphy is the Vice President of Regulatory & Quality. A seasoned leader with over 40 years in leadership roles, in both small and large organizations, Bill has led various functional teams including Quality, Regulatory, Process Control, Manufacturing, Operations, Training, IT and R&D during these years. Bill is a hands-on leader who recognizes the need to lead by example, best when others are providing him their opinions and logic based on the facts as they see them.

Bill has been referred to as a visionary by many of his former team members. Bill will tell you he has been the fortunate leader who inherited outstanding team members, not heard by their previous managers. These individuals presented their concepts of how to improve the company. Bill’s ability to listen to and understand concepts allow him to use the expertise of others paired with his ability to define a vision and drive that vision to a successful closure. He just cleared the path for talented people to make things better.

Business Systems focused on the customer and supported by smart science are always compliant. A simple philosophy that meets the needs of the employees, customers, their patients, business partners, suppliers, investors, the company, and regulatory agencies.

Customer loyalty is earned every day. Taking a negative experience and turning it into a positive experience begins the journey to earning the customer’s respect and loyalty.

Karen Alexander

VICE PRESIDENT of OPERATIONS

Karen Alexander is Vice President of Operations, handling both general management of the company, and helping hospitals and clients operationalize efficiencies Talis enables.

After developing a broad range of experience in diverse care settings, Karen led anesthesia business operations at the Cleveland Clinic for 13 years. She gets great satisfaction in using data to tell compelling stories that drive change management.

Karen holds an MBA with specialization in Health Administration from Cleveland State University. She has a high school aged daughter.

Harish Lecamwasam, M.D.

Chief Medical Innovation Officer

Harish Lecamwasam, M.D. is our Chief Medical Innovation Officer. He works closely with Talis’s Engineering, Product and Regulatory teams to oversee the development of solutions that improve patient care in high acuity areas, such as the OR and ICU. Harish also collaborates with renown hospital leaders and their teams to define and deploy process improvements that augment clinical workflows and reduce avoidable harms.

Harish has over 15 years of leadership experience in healthcare and is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.  He completed residency in Anesthesia and dual fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesia and Critical Care at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Harish received his MD from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, Harvard Medical School, and BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Andrew Bardwell

Andrew Bardwell, MBA, RN

Vice President of Product Strategy

Andrew Bardwell leads a talented team of clinicians, engineers and educators who are passionate advocates for our customers.

In his role as VP of Product Strategy, Andrew identifies opportunities to deliver solutions that not only work great—but they help customers tackle clinical or operational pain-points usually outside the reach of other EMRs. As a nurse himself (and unashamed UX obsessive), Andrew believes that healthcare technology only creates real value by improving real-world outcomes, not by satisfying another “quality measure” check box. With each product innovation, his goal is removing barriers from overburdened clinicians, allowing them to do what they do best.

Andrew holds a bachelor’s degree in criminology from The Ohio State University as well as a bachelor’s in nursing and MBA in Healthcare Administration from Cleveland State University

Scott Sherrill

VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES

Scott Sherrill is Vice President of Sales and works with hospital leaders to bring Talis technology into their organizations.

After spending almost a decade working in healthcare focused technology, he understands that technology must be able to drive improved patient outcomes and reduce the cost of care in order to be a valuable partner.

Scott takes great pride in being a business partner that makes the process of bringing high acuity technology into a hospital simple, straightforward, and fast.

Scott holds a B.S. and a Minor in Business Administration from Texas A&M University.
